Ladies and Gentlemen,

With the establishment of the Crooked Circle Academy Foundation, I would like to invite you to embark on an intellectual journey, during which we will discover events and fascinating figures of contemporary history together, experience new experiences sharing passion with artists representing various fields of art, together we will create an open space for discussion.

I believe that dialogue is the most beautiful of arts that shapes culture and society, builds bonds and brings us closer to achieving common goals by reaching consensus. A wide range of forms of expression allowing discussion to be conducted in a transparent manner, involving many parties in the exchange of views and experiences, as well as manifesting ideas along with artistic expression, prompting reflection on the world around us. Dialogue is the foundation of the development of all spheres of life, from politics, through shaping society, to culture and art. Especially today, in an era of dynamic changes and unpredictable tomorrow, the need to create space for constructive discussions taking place in an atmosphere of trust, openness and mutual respect becomes noticeable.

The history of the activities of Polish intellectuals, activists of the Krzywe Koło Club and the accompanying artistic Gallery Krzywe Koło is not only a great historical legacy, it is also a model of dialogue, multi-threaded discussion leading to a better understanding of the world and shaping reality. The focus of different backgrounds and personalities with often mutually exclusive political and social views within one initiative has defined the framework and possibilities for conducting debates without artificially built barriers and prejudices. Today, 70 years after the first meetings of the Crooked Circle Club were initiated, it is worth remembering the intellectual and cultural heritage, which is a story worth continuing.

Drawing inspiration from the history of the activities of the Crooked Circle Club, while working in the wonderful surroundings of the former painting studio of Bronisław Kierzkowski, a member of the Gallery of the Crooked Circle, from where there is a wonderful view of Warsaw, the decision was made to establish the Foundation, which aims to continue the idea of open dialogue, an initiative focusing the artistic environment around creative work, constructive discussion, joint exhibitions and messages that will be barrier-free

And prejudices in favor of creating a plane of mutual understanding.
